Start typing /external and select External Attachments Mirror for Confluence

Open

Enter the url of the file you want mirrored as an attachment

Enter the name of the file including the file extension that you want the attachment to be named

Open

Publish the page and the macro will download the file and add it as an attachment to the page and render invisibly.
